BAPTISMS

Baptisms

There are many ways we become conscious of the Divine
Baptism is one of two sacraments in the United Church that we understand to be God’s call to us and work in our lives. In infant baptism we celebrate God’s love that is so evident in our children.
Adults who desire to become members of the church are baptized and make a public profession of the love of God in their lives.
During the Sunday ceremony we acknowledge Christ’s pattern of living, loving and serving as a path we desire to explore and cultivate in our daily pattern of living too. The congregation joins in welcoming you and promises to practice Christian Faith and to grow in the Christ-life together.
If you desire to seek baptism in the Lowville Community please connect with the minister Sunday morning or by phoning the church office to set up some initial conversations.
You may find yourself drawn and helped by being connected to someone in our congregation. You can speak with the minister to talk about how those connections might happen.
If you’re interested in baptism, membership or confirmation or would like to explore being part of our community we would be most pleased to extend the invitation to answer questions!
Please connect with the minister on Sunday morning or call the church office - 905-335-0911.
